Darya Andijan is a Central Asian artist based in the Netherlands.
After receiving her MA from the Netherlands Film Academy, she explores video, performance, and expanded cinema. She creates works that weave myths, poetry, and family history to challenge oppression and colonial erasure in Central Asia. Using critical fabulation, she makes space for erased stories to be seen and heard.
Her works have been presented at Sheffield Doc fest, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and in art spaces such as Framer Framed, Plaatsmaken Arnhem, and 99 Canal. She also participated in the EYE Filmmuseum’s exchange programme with Apichatpong Weerasethakul in 2025.
